For many years my commitment to students has been to provide appropriate and excellent learning opportunities for them to succeed socially and academically. I have served as an advocate for all children. My continued goal is to instill in students that a college education is feasible no matter what…money, it’s out there! Having graduated twice from UT-Austin, I know it can be done. Coming from a border town, Laredo, Texas, college was not priority (a long time ago); however I was fortunate to have had my parents on my side. I enjoy going back and visiting my home town, eating tortillas, and love and appreciate Frida Kahlo’s art. –Albar Elizondo, Jr.
